Keith's E-Devotionals

Sharon's E-devotionals

Creative Support

After 32 years of high school and college baseball schedules, Keith and Sharon are excited to be able to work together reaching out to college and high school coaches, their players and their wives, and to those who just love the game of baseball. This year's November 2011 Baseball Outreach in the Dominican Republic, both Keith and Sharon enjoyed time with their individual mission groups hosting baseball clinics and visiting the maternity ward in a San Pedro hospital, feeding families in a small Haitian sugar cane village, playing with children in a couple of SCORE International supported orphanages, and visiting a newly established church in the small village of Los Altos.

Madison 2011 Winter newsletter

This is our Winter SCORE Baseball Newsletter. We hope you will enjoy reading about our journey with SCORE International.

Keith Madison retired from coaching baseball at the University of Kentucky in  2003 after being the head coach for 25 years. He served two missions trips with SCORE International in the Dominican Republic and realized God was calling him  into the sports ministry mission field.
Sharon has also made this transition with Keith to SCORE. She ministers to coaches' wives,  writes the bi-monthly newsletter, keeps the home office running smoothly, and helps with Keith's bi-weekly E-devotionals.
Keith feels blessed as he reaches out to hundreds of college and high school baseball coaches. Since, 2004, Keith has spoken to thousands of coaches and players throughout the United States and in the Dominican Republic. God has blessed the Madisons with many opportunities to share His Message of love and reconciliation.

The 2011-8th annual Baseball Outreach in the Dominican Republic

The 2011 November Baseball Outreach in the Dominican Republic was another blessing. Over 260 coaches, professional baseball players and enthusiasts were among those serving this year. We conducted free baseball clinics for over 10,000 young baseball players and we shared the Gospel with over 15,000 Dominicans. We are thankful for these opportunities to combine our passion for baseball and sharing our faith.

A group of 18American women,  wives of the  men and a few daughters, also made this trip. With help from SCORE missionaries, we visited, prayed and gave gifts to new mothers in a local maternity ward; we made crafts with Dominican children in a small daycare; and we painted rooms and visited the young women at Lily House--a ministry reaching out to prostitutes who want to escape their profession. At each short mission excursion, the Gospel was shared in English and translated into Spanish. And after each outing, all the American ladies expressed, “This was the best day of my trip.”
If you haven’t been on this annual short-term mission trip, I invite you to go with us next November.
